Ways of Working

Wasteland Travel is a genuinely hybrid business. Our core team is based in the UK, with colleagues working remotely across the UK, France and parts of the EU too. We have built a way of working that combines strong in person collaboration with meaningful flexibility.

In the UK, we operate from three offices:

Manchester - Our Northern HQ and largest office.

London - Our Southern base. Small but mighty.

York - Our Web Services hub, supporting development, systems and elements of the marketing function.

Collaboration matters to us. Most roles start office based, particularly during onboarding, so new starters can build strong relationships, learn quickly and understand how the business works. For some roles this may mean time in the office, while others may start remotely depending on the role and location. As people grow into their role, flexibility increases. Hybrid working is shaped by the needs of the role and the team, not a blanket rule. We aim to create an environment where people have space to do their best work while staying connected to the colleagues around them.

Every role clearly outlines its location expectations, so candidates know what to expect from day one.
